Coming from a post graduate nursing background, Maya retrained as a personal trainer and yoga teacher, to continue working with people and health which she is very passionate about.
Born and bred in Holland you'll find her open and honest in working together with you reaching your personal goals.
More and more, research is showing the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. This includes improvement in mental and physical wellbeing and therefore the way you go through life.
When she is not working in the gym, she enjoys looking after her 4 children, baking and enjoying the outdoors while running, cycling or walking the dog.
As nutrition and diet is hugely underestimated in feeling well, being fit and losing weight, Maya can give you advice on this important part of your lifestyle.

Welcome to our proud little gym. Once started as Chisel Gym, it has now been run by Fons and Maya for a few years. Thanks to the willingness to get fit in our small town of Tapanui, we are still growing slowly and adding equipment that suits everybody , from the ageing people that need a more gentle workout, people wanting to shape up and get fit, to pro athletes, cyclists, rugby players etc.
